Turquoise Bay Resort is located on Roatan's northeast shore in a pristine and secluded area, which means you have the opportunity to dive virtually private and beautiful dive sites!  The resort is set on a hill, providing panoramic ocean views and located on a protected bay, which provides calm water perfect for swimming and kayaking. Your guests enjoy valet diving with small groups - no more than 10 divers per boat. Roatan is surrounded by the world's second largest barrier reef that is one of the healthiest in the Caribbean, mostly due to the Roatan Marine Park and the local dive community encouraging conservative diving practices.

EVERGLADES, FL Kayak trip February 18-21, 2020

Everglades National Park, Florida

Kayak Camping Trip

$595.00 pp

The cost includes:  kayaks and kayak gear,  guide, all meals from lunch the first day through lunch the last day, permits and camping fees, 2-person tent.

We will be paddling and camping in the area known as the 10,000 Islands.  This area is part of the largest mangrove estuary in North America.

.  The park is also is well known for its variety and abundance of birds.   There are large concentrations of wading birds, including herons, egrets, rosette spoonbills and wood storks.  We may see shorebirds, waterfowl and other birds such as bald eagles, ospreys, white and brown pelicans, roseate spoonbills, and many species of egrets and herons.  However, it’s the alligator that most people think about when they think of the Everglades.  They are hard to miss when driving through the park on the way to our put in.  However, the alligator is a fresh water animal and we won’t see it when we are paddling the saltwater environment. Along the way to our campsite we might spy dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, crabs, fish and a myriad of other marine life.  We’ll be camping on white sand beaches covered with exotic shells.

This is a primitive camping trip so you need to be comfortable sleeping in a tent, going without a shower for a couple of days and using the bathroom outside.

It is a most amazing trip however and should be on everyone's bucket list.
